Digging Out

February 11th, 2010

The snow finally stopped. I’m still off work, and I will be tomorrow as well. That’s a good thing, as I was only supposed to work in the morning, and then take the girls to The Lightening Thief movie in the afternoon. Having been off all week, I would have felt guilty leaving at lunchtime! The school closing makes my life much more relaxed.

We began to dig out today. It’s so deep, and there simply isn’t much room to put snow from the driveway. The backyard is full. Very full. Katie dug out a little snowfort hole in the side of the snow in the top yard. It’s big enough for her to crawl completely in. In the photo, she’s only halfway inside.

She was quite the goof today… came after me with an icicle knife!

Meanwhile, Becky stayed inside today, mostly playing on the computer. A familiar sight.

For those playing along with the home game, the obligatory shots that I’ve been posting all week – up and down the street in front of our house.
