Becky was fortunate to receive a birthday gift of a telescope that belonged to her grandfather. It’s a decent model, and we’ve used it a couple of times to look at the stars. Tonight, however, was the night of the 2012 Super Moon – the time that the moon is closest to earth, and therefore the time that the moon appears largest. While we were looking, Becky got the idea of using the iPod Touch camera to take pics through the lens of the telescope. Not bad photos for such a quick-idea operation:
What a lovely way to spend an hour this evening!
