Pysanky Eggs

April 9th, 2012

I had the opportunity to try dyeing Pysanky Eggs on Good Friday. I worked steadily for three hours, but I only got ONE egg finished. It was worth it, though. I found the craft not difficult, but engaging and calming. I really like how the egg turned out! I have my own dyes and tools, and the girls and I are planning on making more next week.

Before the wax is removed:

And various sides of the finished egg:

I definitely want to make more each year.

In other art news, I finished one of my Socks of Kindness, and the second sock is well under way.
